Jones & Collins Astoria Hot Eight

A New Orleans group fronted by cornetist Lee Collins and tenor saxophonist David Jones the assembly was named for the Astoria Hotel on Rampart Street where they were the resident band from 1928 to '29. -Unfortunately this group only recorded once during a single session held on December 15th 1929 at the Italian Hall in New Orleans producing a total of four issued sides.
