This side was recorded in New Orleans on November 15th 1929 featuring Lee Collins trumpet, David Jones tenor sax, Sidney Arodin clarinet, Theodore Purnell alto sax, Emmanuel Sayles banjo, John Robichaux piano, Al Morgan bass, and Joe Strode Raphael drums.

*"Tip Easy Blues" was composed by Joseph Robechaux and Theadore Purnell.

In the late 1920's Lee Collins left Chicago and returned home to New Orleans where he cut four wonderful sides as co-leader of the "Jones & Collins Astoria Hot Eight".
