This recording was cut in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 22nd 1927 featuring Sam Morgan and Isaiah Morgan trumpets, Jim Robinson trombone, Andrew Morgan clarinet & tenor sax, Earl Fouche alto sax, Tink Baptiste or Walter Decou piano, Johnny Dave banjo, Sidney Brown bass, and Nolan Williams drums.

Out of the eight sides recorded by "Sam Morgan's Jazz Band" over the course of two sessions held in 1927, one on April 14th and the other on October 22nd, three were traditional spirituals.
