The "Young Morgan Band" as it was commonly called by fans of the day, was one of the most popular territory bands touring from Galveston, Texas to Pensacola, Florida on the gulf coast circuit. They recordings made for Columbia in 1927 continue to be among the best regarded sides of classic New Orleans Jazz.
