*"Washington and Lee Swing" was written by Mark W. Sheafe, Clarence A. (Tod) Robbins, and Thornton W. Allen in 1910. It was a popular fight song for a long list of high school and college football teams across the United States. The tune was resurrected for a second and continuing wave of popularity as a jazz standard that has been covered by virtually everyone.
