"Jack Hylton's Hyltonians" recorded this side in Small Queen's Hall, London on May 13th 1927 with Edwin Knight and Tom Smith trumpets, Ted Heath trombone, Al Starita clarinet, alto sax, & leader, George Smith clarinet & tenor sax, Sid Bright piano, unknown violin, Lenn Fillis banjo, Alfred Field bass brass, and Eric Little drums.

*"Uncanny Banjo" was authored by band members Lenn Fillis, and Sid Bright.

The "Kit-Cat" was a nightclub located in the hay market of London's West End. The club's house band was sponsored by Jack Hylton and led by Al Starita, who was an American. Recordings of the group that were issued on HMV from June 8th 1925 to December 1st 1926 were released as "Jack Hylton's Kit-Cat Band". Later recordings issued on HMV from December 29th 1926 to May 19th 1927 however, were billed as "Jack Hylton's Hyltonians."
