This side was recorded in New York City on May 14th 1929 with Phil Napoleon trumpet, Tommy Dorsey trombone, Jimmy Dorsey clarinet & alto sax, Joe Venuti violin, Frank Signorelli piano, Eddie Lang guitar, Joe Tarto string bass, and Ted Napoleon (or Stan King) drums.

*"Mean To Me" was written in 1929 by Fred E. Ahlert, with lyrics by Roy Turk.

With hit recordings released that year by Helen Morgan and Ruth Etting, the most popular version of the song was produced by Annette Hanshaw for the Harmony label billed under the pseudonym of Gay Ellis on February 20th 1929.
