This side was cut in Richmond, Indiana on February 25th 1924 featuring Muggsy Spanier cornet, Guy Carey trombone, Volly De Faut clarinet & alto sax, Marvin Saxby banjo, and Mel Stitzel piano.

*"Hot Mittens" was composed by Mel Stitzel, Volly de Faut, and Marvin Saxby.

The "Bucktown Five" cut eleven sides their entire recorded output at a single session during late February of 1924, nearly half of which were alternate takes. Theses few sides represented some of the most authentic white jazz from a period when the genre in its recorded form was rapidly becoming subject to over commercialization.
