Recorded in Chicago in August of 1924 featuring Sodarisa Miller vocals, accompanied by Jimmy Blythe piano.

*"Who'll Drive My Blues Away?" was written by Aletha Dickerson.

When J. Mayo Williams became an unofficial recording director for Paramount with offices based in the Overton Hygienic Building at 3621 South State Street in Chicago in the early '20s, Aletha Dickerson was employed as his secretary. She worked for Williams' Chicago Music Publishing Company alongside her husband Alex Robinson (a pianist, songwriter and arranger) depositing songs for copyright with the Library of Congress. Together they also ran Dickerson’s Record Shop, a popular hangout for jazz musicians.
