This record was cut in Chicago on July 13th 1926 with George Mitchell cornet, Kid Ory trombone, Johnny Dodds clarinet, Lil Hardin Armstrong piano, Johnny St Cyr banjo, and Baby Dodds drums.

*"Too Tight" was composed by Louis Armstrong.

This group also released two sides under the name "New Orleans Bootblacks". The term too tight was a popular slang expression used frequently in the '20s that originated on the South Side of Chicago. -For a 1929 recording of a different tune with the same title by "Johnny Dodds' Hot Six" Click Here.
