Recorded in Richmond, Indiana on January 26th 1925 featuring Bix Beiderbecke cornet & leader, Tommy Dorsey trombone, Don Murray clarinet, Paul Mertz piano, Howdy Quicksell banjo, and Tom Gargano drums.

*"Toddlin' Blues" was composed by Nick LaRocca and Larry Shields.

In 1925 after his departure from the "Jean Goldkette Orchestra" Bix got together with friends from the group at the Gennett Studio in Indiana to produce his first solo record.

Backed with his now famous "Davenport Blues", the A side contained his superior rendition of a number written by members of the "Original Dixieland Jass Band".
