*"Chicago Flip" is credited to Buford 'Whistler' Threlkeld.

Known by the stage name "Whistler" for his common use of a nose flute Buford Threlkeld and his band traveled to Richmond to take part in this historic 1924 session that would be responsible for creating the very first jug band records. Louisville, Kentucky was the apparent birthplace for these type of assemblies and the city would go on to produce a number of other excellent representative groups.
