This recording was made in Camden, New Jersey on February 26th 1927 featuring Alberta Hunter vocals, accompanied by Thomas "Fats" Waller on church organ.

*"Beale Street Blues" was composed by W.C. Handy.

A student of piano since the age of six, as a boy Thomas "Fats" Waller also learned to play the pipe organ in his father's church.

Albert Hunter is joined by Fats Waller at an old church converted into a Victor recording headquarters in Camden, New Jersey for their unique production of this W.C. Handy blues standard featuring the celebrated pianist's stellar, yet less common, organ accompaniment.
