After making his recording debut with his brother Frank as a member of the "Lucas Ukulele Trio" and "Lucas Novelty Quartet" early jazz guitar pioneer Nick Lucas made quite a name for himself as a solo artist beginning with this 1922 release. This side and its companion made history as the very first jazz guitar instrumental ever to appear on record.
