This side was recorded in Chicago on March 14th 1924 with Red McKenzie comb, Jack Bland banjo, Dick Selvin kazoo, and Frankie Trumbauer c-melody sax.

*"Red Hot!" is credited to Ted Koehler, Frankie Trumbauer, Will Bradley, and Bobby Sherman.

While working as a bellhop in St. Louis, Missouri accomplished comb-blower Red McKenzie organized a band to perform on the street for tips along with soda jerk Dick Selvin on kazoo, and banjo-player Jack Bland.

After their talented non conventional group came to the attention of popular jazz bandleader Gene Rodemich they would accompany him to Chicago to make their debut recordings for Brunswick in February 1924.
