*"Don't Care Blues" was written by Perry Bradford.

Had it not been for Perry Bradford, Mamie Smith might have never made history in 1920 as the first black blues singer to appear on record. He not only set up her session with Okeh Records but also provided the hit song "Crazy Blues", a composition of his own. Bradford had discovered Mamie and initially "made" her the star of his 1918 musical "Maid Of Harlem".
