The 1932 film "A Rhapsody in Black and Blue" starring Louis Armstrong was directed by Aubrey Scotto, with screenplay written by Phil Cohan.

In this film short a husband (Sidney Easton) who listens to jazz instead of cleaning the floor is clobbered with a mop by his wife (Fanny Belle DeKnight). While he's unconscious Easton dreams that he's the King of Jazzmania, an extraordinary land of hot jazz and soap-suds where Louis Armstrong performs two of his biggest hits of the period "I'll Be Glad When You're Dead You Rascal You" and "Shine" for his entertainment.
