This side was produced in Chicago on October 25th 1923 with an ensemble featuring Joe "King" Oliver and Louis Armstrong cornets, Honore Dutrey trombone, Johnny Dodds clarinet, Lil Hardin-Armstrong piano, Johnny St Cyr banjo, and Baby Dodds drums.

*"Tears" was composed by Lil Hardin and Louis Armstrong.

Trombonist Honore Dutrey takes a prominent role on this record, playing his own dominating lines of instrumentation over the hot cornet duo of Louis Armstrong and Joe "King" Oliver.
