"The Frank Melrose Mystery"

This side was recorded in Chicago on December 10th 1928 by "E.C. Cobb and his Corn Eaters" featuring Jimmy Cobb cornet, Junie Cobb clarinet & tenor sax, Frank Melrose piano, and Jimmy Bertrand drums & xylophone.

*"Transatlantic Stomp" was composed by Junius C. Cobb

Frank Melrose was one of few men who cold play the piano almost like Jelly Roll Morton, the only difference being that his left hand was not as educated and that the circumstances surrounding his death in 1941 remain a mystery to this very day.
