This side was produced in New York City on November 15th 1927 featuring Joe Venuti violin & leader, Don Murray clarinet & baritone sax, Frank Signorelli piano, Eddie Lang guitar, and Justin Ring cymbal.

*"Four String Joe" was composed by Joe Venuti and Eddie Lang.

The legendary jazz violinist Joe Venuti was a master at using his bow loosened and inverted, allowing him to play all four strings of the violin simultaneously. He is also believed to have been the originator of this ground-breaking jazz violin technique.

Composed and recorded with his frequent partner fellow violinist and guitar player Sal Massaro (aka Eddie Lang) this number serves as an instrumental dedication to Joe Venuti's four-stringed inverted bow approach.
