This side was recorded in Chicago in May 1925 with Jimmy Blythe piano, Jimmy O'Bryant clarinet,
and Jasper Taylor washboard.

*"Blue Eyed Sally" was written by Al Bernard and Russell Robinson.

As a clarinetist Jimmy O'Bryant's style was often compared to that of Johnny Dodds. During the early half of the 1920's he performed in bands led by both Jell Roll Morton and W.C. Handy before finding his niche as a member of "Lovie Austin's Blues Serenaders." He was featured on records produced by the "Serenaders" between 1923 and 1926, also recording numerous sides as leader of his own "Washboard Band".
