Recorded in Chicago on October 5th 1927 featuring Natty Dominique cornet, Johnny Dodds clarinet, Jimmy Blythe piano & leader, Bud Scott banjo, and Baby Dodds or Jimmy Bertrand washboard.

*"Poutin' Papa" was composed by Fred Longshaw.

Recorded at Jimmy Blythe's only session under the "Blythe's Owl's" name this intriguing title was written by none other than pianist Fred Longshaw the one time leader of Bessie Smith's vaudeville band. His most memorable appearance as a performer himself was accompanying Smith on reed organ for her famous 1925 recorded version of W.C. Handy's "St. Louis Blues" alongside Louis Armstrong.
