Recorded in New York City on January 10th 1929 featuring Bill Moore and Phil Hart trumpets, Paul Weigan trombone, Jack Pettis clarinet, alto, & c-melody sax, Jimmy Dorsey clarinet & alto sax, Al Goering piano, Matty Malneck violin, Clay Bryson banjo, Merrill Kline tuba, and Dillon Ober drums.

*"Rush Inn Blues" was composed by Al Goering, Jack Pettis, and Irving Mills.

In this instance "The Whoopee Makers" are a studio band under the direction of Jack Pettis and Al Goering, organized by Irving Mills. It was also used as a pseudonym for another band under Mills' management, .... the "Duke Ellington Orchestra".
