Feat. Thelma Holmes

Recorded in Chicago on December 2nd 1930 featuring Thelma Holmes (as Kansas City Kitty) vocals & piano, accompanied by Georgia Tom Dorsey piano & speech.

As a follow up to his 1929 duet "I Had to Give Up Gym" recorded with Ikey Robinson, Thomas A. Dorsey revisits the classic exhaustion from "Gym" theme this time performed by singer Thelma Holmes with his own vocal interjections.

In all of "Hokum" this seems to be the sole instance where a name itself is used as the element of double entendre.
