Feat. Fletcher Henderson

This record was produced in New York City on October 15th 1924 by "Ma Rainey and her Georgia Band" with Gertrude 'Ma' Rainey vocals, Howard Scott cornet, Charlie Green trombone, Don Redman clarinet, Fletcher Henderson piano & leader, Happy Bolton chimes, and Kaiser Marshall drums.

*"Booze And Blues" was written by Jay Guy Suddoth.

Drunken antics led one unfortunate alcohol consumer of the prohibition era to the courthouse culminating in a stiff jail sentence. Ma Rainey didn't write this one, but this recording certainly does make this topical blues her own.
