Jazz guitar virtuoso Eddie Lang accompanies vocalist Ruth Etting in her 1932 short "A Regular Trouper."

In the film Ruth appears as Ruth Eton, a singer who is happily performing with a traveling show. All is well until her fiancée, the troupe leader Joe Grant (played by Edward Leiter), loses interest in her transferring his attention to his next conquest her younger sister Laura (played by Wanda Perry) upon her arrival.
