Eddie Lang recorded this beautiful guitar solo in New York City on April 1st 1927.
Eddie whose real name was Salvatore Massaro was born to a Philadelphia instrument maker in 1902. He studied the violin for eleven years, a passion shared by his boyhood friend Joe Venuti. His professional career in music started around 1918 when he began working with various bands performing on banjo, violin, and the guitar. Over the course of his short life Eddie became a jazz guitar innovator and serves as a major influence on all who follow.
