Differing from Louis Armstrong's original "Hot Five" line-up this session features trombonist Fred Robinson replacing Kid Ory, along with percussionist Zutty Singleton, and reedman Jimmy Strong assuming the Dodds Brothers' usual roles. And let's not forget in Lil Hardin's absence the intellectually driven groundbreaking two-handed jazz piano style of Earl "Fatha" Hines.
