This recording was produced in New York City on August 12th 1930 featuring Ed Kirkeby (as Ted Wallace) vocals & director, Jack Purvis and E. Osborne trumpets, Carl Loeffler trombone, Bobby Davis clarinet & alto sax, Elmer Feldkamp clarinet, alto sax, & violin, Paul Mason tenor sax, Lew Cobey piano, Ed Sexton guitar, Ward Lay string bass, and Jack Powers drums.

*"Don't Tell Her What's Happened To Me" was composed by Buddy DeSylva, Lew Brown, and Ray Henderson.

Ed Kirkeby takes on the role of a lovesick wretch under the pseudonym of Ted Wallace confidentially inquiring about his former sweetheart. Although he longs to know everything about her life and daily routine he pleads with the third party to "let her remember me as I used to be" and not inform her of his current hardships.
