Collegiate
"Rah, Rah, Rah!"

This side was recorded in New York City on June 23rd 1925 featuring Ed Kirkeby vocals, Red Nichols trumpet, Tommy Dorsey trombone, Bobby Davis clarinet, Jimmy Dorsey clarinet & alto sax, Irving Brodsky piano, Adrian Rollini bass sax, Ray Kitchingham banjo, and Stan King drums.

*"Collegiate" was co-written by Moe Jaffe and Nat Bonx.

The "California Ramblers" appear billed under their commonly used "Golden Gate Orchestra" pseudonym for the release of this very appropriately named "collegiate" number that's just brimming with pep cheer and name-dropping fraternity high-jinks.

(This video contains the same recording from two different sources beginning with Edison Diamond Disc, before switching to Blue Amberol Cylinder halfway through.)
