Feat. Bix Beiderbecke

Recorded in New York City on October 27th 1927 featuring Bix Beiderbecke cornet, Bill Rank trombone ?, Frank Trumbauer c-melody sax & leader, Don Murray clarinet & tenor sax, Pee Wee Russell and Bobby Davis clarinet & alto sax, Adrian Rollini bass sax, Joe Venuti violin, Eddie Lang guitar, Frank Signorelli piano, and Chauncey Morehouse drums.

*"Crying All Day" was composed by Frankie Trumbauer and Chauncey Morehouse.

Bobby Davis (of "California Ramblers" fame) is featured on this session. It sounds to me like he leads the saxophone chorus and 'Tram' plays the solo break after Pee Wee's chorus. I don't think Rank plays at all on this track, appearing only on the other one recorded that day "A Good Man is Hard To Find". -Henry Davis
