Benjamin Albert Rolfe, known as "The Boy Trumpet Wonder" in his youth, went on to be a bandleader and film producer as well. Born October 24th 1879 he was the son of a music director in Brasher Falls, New York. At a young age he played the piccolo and cornet in his father's band, touring the Eastern Coast of the U.S. as well as Europe. After graduating from high school, Benjamin worked as a musical clown in a traveling circus prior to joining the "Majestic Theater Orchestra" in Utica, New York.
