Feat. Adrian Rollini

Recorded in New York City on December 9th 1926 featuring Ed Kirkeby director, Chelsea Quealey and Roy Johnston trumpet, Abe Lincoln trombone, Bobby Davis clarinet & alto sax, Sam Ruby tenor sax, Jack Russin piano, Tommy Fillini banjo, Adrian Rollini bass sax, and Herb Weil drums.

*"Sidewalk Blues" was composed by Ferdinand "Jelly Roll" Morton.

Captured with the superior sound quality of Edison Diamond Disc this terrific version of a Jelly Roll Morton classic begins with the strong horn of Chelsea Quealey followed by some good saxophone solo work from Bobby Davis. Abe Lincoln comes in next leading up to the long anticipated bass saxophone solo of Adrian Rollini. Then its back to Davis who is featured playing clarinet this time before the entire ensemble joins together for a climatic finish.
