In a performance filmed at the Iguana Restaurant in New York City during January 2017 Vince Giordano and his world famous "Nighthawks Orchestra" accompany, special guest, Gunhild Carling's trumpet & vocals.

Like someone stepping from an old film or phonograph record Gunhild Carling embodies both the music and grace of a by-gone era. Backed by the quintessential vintage jazz Orchestra ("Giordano's Nighthawks") Gunhild tackles a song recorded to great success in 1930 by artists including Louis Armstrong. "I'm Confessin' (That I Love You)", composed by Chris Smith with lyrics written by Al J. Neiburg and published that same year, was adapted from another Smith title "Lookin' for Another Sweetie" published in 1929 with words by Sterling Grant.

Playing with Vince Giordano's band featuring Dan Levinson's wonderful saxophone provides Gunhild with the perfect opportunity to shine as the truly amazing artist she is.

In her own words Gunhild offered these impressions:

"What a great band he has Vince Giordano!!", she reflected, "I have never heard smoother saxophones or sweeter violin." "Absolutely the most authentic band I have heard in all my life."

And with her infallible perfect pitch and incredible instrumental ability her opinion should be well respected ...
