From "Big Boy"

This recording was made in New York City in 1925 featuring Eddie Cantor vocals, with orchestral accompaniment.

*"If You Knew Susie (Like I Know Susie)" was written by Buddy DeSylva and Joseph Meyer. It was featured in the 1925 Broadway musical "Big Boy" which opened on January 7th 1925 and ran until March 14th.

After this song proved to be a flop for Al Jolson he passed it on to his younger protege Eddie Cantor who made it a whopping success. Other artists to record the popular song that year would include Cliff Edwards, Ernest Hare, Billy Jones, Billy Murray, and Ella Shields.
