Feat. Ted Shapiro

This recording was made in New York City on September 2nd 1927 featuring Sophie Tucker vocals, accompanied by Ted Shapiro piano, and the studio orchestra.

*"Some Of These Days" was composed by Shelton Brooks.

Now closely associated with Sophie Tucker, she fist recorded "Some Of These Days" for Edison Records in 1911 when she was twenty-four. The song's title was later used for her 1945 biography.

Sophie's long time accompanist Ted Shapiro was a native New Yorker who started out in tin pan alley before going on to work performing alongside a number of vaudeville greats.

With her tremendous success Ted Shapiro became her exclusive pianist and musical director performing at her side for most of her career.
