This record was cut in New York City on March 22nd 1921 by singer Ethel Waters accompanied by her "Jazz Masters."
Ethel had recorded earlier in the year for her debut on Cardinal Records featuring the songs "The New York Glide" and "At the New Jump Steady Ball". This recording however marks her first release for the African-American owned Black Swan label. It was backed with the song "Down Home Blues" on the original pressing. *These were the first blues numbers to appear on the Black Swan label.
