This side was cut in Camden, New Jersey on August 11th 1925 featuring Seger Ellis piano.

*"High Value Mama, Papa's Gonna Low Rate You Blues" was composed by Seger Ellis.

After committing a number of piano solos to disc for a field recording unit in Houston during his sessions with the "Lloyd Finlay Orchestra" in March 1925, Seger Ellis was invited to Victor's main studio that Summer in Camden, New Jersey. The sides produced were among the first to use the new electric recording process implementing a microphone. Of the twelve recorded most were slow blues, all possessing the indelible originality of their creator.
