"The Wizard of the Strings"

The celebrated "Wizard of the Strings" banjo, guitar, & ukulele virtuoso Roy Smeck demonstrates his abilities on all three instruments in this 1926 film short.

Filmed at Metropolitan Opera House in New York, Roy gives an historically memorable performances of six different tunes. Although this is an early Vita-phone talkie, brandishing a continuous smile, Roy never says a word.
