This 1921 recording captures pianist Zez Confrey performing his most famous piece "Kitten On The Keys."

Zez Confrey became a pianist and arranger for the QRS piano roll company after World War I. He also worked for the AMPICO Company making and installing piano rolls for their reproducing player piano mechanisms. His novelty piano composition "Kitten on the Keys," released in 1921 became a hit inspiring him to compose many others including "Dizzy Fingers" in 1923 another big seller.
