This side was recorded in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 11th 1927 featuring Oscar 'Papa' Celestin cornet & leader, Ricard Alexis cornet, August Rousseau trombone, Paul Barnes clarinet & alto sax, Sid Carriere soprano & tenor sax, Earl Pierson tenor sax, Jeanette Salvant piano, John Marrero banjo, Simon Marrero string bass, and Abby Foster drums.

*"As You Like It" was composed by Paul Barnes.

The "Original Tuxedo Jazz Orchestra", led by cornetist Oscar Celestin, was named for Tuxedo Dance Hall in New Orleans where the band once played. Celestin continued to lead a brass band in the city under the 'Tuxedo' long after the ballroom closed. He formed an earlier version of the orchestra in 1917 which continued to perform throughout the Gulf Coast states until the early 1930s when The Depression forced Celestin's Orchestra to disband.
