Feat. Ellis Stratakos

This recording was produced in New Orleans on March 16th 1924 featuring Johnny De Droit cornet, Ellis Stratakos trombone, Henry Raymond clarinet, Rudolph Levy alto sax, Frank Cuny piano, George Potter banjo, and Paul De Droit drums.

*"The Swing" is credited to Johnny De Droit.

New Orleans bandleader Johnny De Droit has a great opportunity to prove his worth with rapid cornet passages during this festive excursion with a well chosen title.

The last 3/4 of this record (second strain of the composition) is the same as "Washington and Lee Swing", probably another case of a title being changed to avoid royalty payments. -Daniel Weinstein
