Recorded in Chicago during November of 1924 featuring Jimmy O'Bryant clarinet, Jimmy Blythe piano,
and Jasper Taylor washboard.

*"Red Hot Mamma" was written by Gilbert Wells, Bud Cooper, and Fred Rose.

Often compared to Johnny Dodds, clarinetist Jimmy O'Bryant was also active in Chicago during the 1920s. He played with Jelly Roll Morton during the early '20s followed by a stint with the W.C. Handy Orchestra in 1923. O'Bryant went on to record extensively as a member of Lovie Austin's "Blues Serenaders" in addition to sessions with his own "Washboard Band" prior to his premature death in 1928.
