Feat. Omer Simeon

Recorded in Chicago on March 1st 1929 featuring Jabbo Smith cornet & leader, Omer Simeon clarinet & alto sax, Cassino Simpson piano, Ikey Robinson banjo, and Hayes Alvis tuba.

*"Sau Sha Stomp" was composed by Cladys 'Jabbo' Smith.

With the bass thump of the ever present Hayes Alvis, Jabbo blows his empowered horn flanked by the precise clarinet of Omer Simeon who transitions to alto sax for a solo later on. Following a stop time section with the assembly Simeon trades passages with the leader prior to the piano break. The assembly reconvene leading into the lively and long awaited saxophone solo, then converge once more for a grand finish.
