For the first half of her 1972 telephone interview with Jack Cullen, the original "Personality Girl", Annette Hanshaw recalls her extreme dis-like for the music industry and show business in general and confesses her hatred from the way her voice sounded on 78 rpm record. Annette also reflects on her one-time competitors including such talents as Ruth Etting, in addition to singers she admired like Ethel Waters and Connie Boswell.
