Feat. Scrappy Lambert
Recorded in New York City on December 23rd 1928 featuring Scrappy Lambert vocals, Jimmy McPartland and Al Harris trumpets, Jack Teagarden trombone, Benny Goodman clarinet & alto sax, Gil Rodin alto sax, Larry Binyon tenor sax, Vic Breidis piano, Dick McPartland banjo & guitar, Harry Goodman bass brass, and Ray Bauduc drums.
*"Blue Little You" was composed by Jack Palmer and Irving Mills.
This session used most of Ben Pollack's Orchestra (the second trumpet here is Al Harris). Ray Bauduc stepped in on drums for the three Cameo sessions over Christmas, this one on the 23rd, one on the 24th under the name of Ben Pollack, and one on the 26th presumably because Ben was away for the holiday period! He doesn't sing, the vocalist is almost certainly Burt Lorin ("Scrappy Lambert") who appears on the 24th session. -Henry Davis
