This record was cut in New York City on March 22nd 1921 by singer Ethel Waters accompanied by her "Jazz Masters."
Although she had recorded earlier in the year, for her debut on Cardinal Records, a disc which featured the songs "The New York Glide" and "At the New Jump Steady Ball", this recording marks her first release for the African-American owned label, Black Swan and was backed with the song "Down Home Blues on the original pressing."
These were also the first Blues numbers to appear on the Black swan label.
