Feat. Hoagy Carmichael

This side was produced in Richmond, Indiana on May 5th 1928 featuring Bud Dant cornet, Chauncey Goodwin clarinet & alto sax, Harold Keating clarinet & alto sax, Hoagy Carmichael piano & leader, Eddie Wolfe violin, Arnold Habbe banjo, Jack Drummond bass, and Andy van Sickle drums.

*"March Of The Hoodlums" was composed by Hoagy Carmichael.

The "Collegians" were Hoagy Carmichael's first band, organized while he was still attending the University of Indiana.

This tune shares its chord progression with the "Tiger Rag" and is really just a fresh arrangement thereof that has been cleverly disguised.
