Soprano saxophone favorite Sidney Bechet appears at the 1958 "Palais des Festivals et des Congres" in Cannes, France accompanied by the "Andre Reweliotty Orchestra" consisting of Roland Hug trumpet, Jean-Louis Durand trombone, Andre Reweliotty clarinet & leader, Yannick Saint-Gery piano, Georges "Zozo" D'Halluin double bass, and Poumy Arnaud drums.

Captured during a now historic performance at the packed venue of "Palais des Festivals", Sidney Bechet dazzles an adoring audience of his adopted countrymen with an original interpretation of the standard "I've Found a New Baby" backed by the Reweliotty Band.

Filmed the year prior to his death, Bechet is featured here as a very strong presence who was in many ways still at the peak of his abilities.
