Mamie Smith, the singer responsible for creating the first blues records for OKeh in 1921 performs in the 1939 film "Paradise in Harlem" accompanied by "The Alphabetical Four".
The musical drama "Paradise in Harlem" was written by Frank L Wilson and directed by Joseph Seiden.
The song "Harlem Blues" is actually a reworked version of perry Bradford's "Crazy Blues", her first and most famous record.
